Yes, you have read this before if, you have followed The Journey of a Prayer network from the beginning. I am posting this again because the strongest prayers we can pray are those from or including the Word of God. I would love to see every person on any prayer network to learn to use the word of God to defeat the enemy. This is the way Jesus prayed after going into the wilderness to fast and pray. It defeated the enemy because GOD CAN'T LIE
Revelation 12:11
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
So daily devotions or a daily time set aside to read the Word of God and to pray will help you become strong in prayer.I spend a great amount of time in prayer, I have found that one of the ways that God starts to show me how to pray for someone or something is by bringing into my heart a scripture.
It is really quite easy to look up a scripture and read it in context and then put it into prayer.
However, this will be difficult if you do not read your Bible so let's start with a Bible reading program. There are many programs on the internet which are great and you can read them on the computer or just look up the plan and read it with your Bible. Each of the following links has a variety of Bible reading plans. So find one that looks good for you and start. If you miss a day then just start where you should be. What's important is that you read your Bible every day and not just happenstance, read each chapter and read systematically the problem with just opening your Bible and reading were your finger falls can cause some really strange doctrines and misread scriptures.
So, to get started to find a plan, these links can help you. If it is the first time I recommend a plan that includes both an Old Testament and a New Testament plan.
Just check out the Google search or the ones below.

the Bible as its events occurred in real-time. For example, Job lived sometime after the beginning of creation (Genesis 1) but before Abraham was born (Genesis 12). As a result, the Book of Job is integrated into the Book of Genesis.

26 But
the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He
will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that
I said to you.
The Holy Spirit can bring all things to your remembrance anything you have learned by reading your Bible and it makes it easier for God to speak to you because you will start to hear in your mind a scripture and you can pray it.I will give you an example of how to put Scripture into prayer one of my long-time favorites to generally pray over anyone is found in Colossians 1. Sometimes, I simply pray the scripture as mostly shown here or sometimes I will sense the spirit move me towards a different direction. I only put the first part of Colossians 1 below but the whole chapter works well. This one I used the amplified Bible but often different ones will seem better.
Father
in Heaven I lift _________ to you today as one of
your people set aside for the purposes of God I pray they would be a
faithful child in Christ and they would have Grace that of spiritual
favor and
blessing and they would find favor and peace in their heart from
God our Father.
Jesus, I continually give thanks to the Father for_______and lift them
to you in prayer.
As they have given their life to Christ through faith I ask that they
would lean their entire being in absolute trust and confidence in Your power,
wisdom, and goodness. Allow that Faith and power be shown for all the saints and
for their family.
God let them experience all of what is laid up reserved and waiting
for them from Heaven. May they be strong in hope by being in your word and understanding
the Truth of the Gospel.
I ask Father that they would bear fruit and continue to grow by their effective
and fervent prayer and would prevail with tremendous power. (James 5:16)
God, I make a request of you for them that they may be filled with deep and clear understanding of Your will for them in all Spiritual
wisdom. Give them Clear and deep
knowledge of Your will in all their ways. Give them the insight and discernment
of Spiritual things. In Jesus' name, I pray Amen!
Try
a scripture for yourself sometimes it is easiest to start with the
Psalms and proverbs so try to pick out a scripture and turning it into a
prayer. To start, try Psalms 91, it is possible to use almost every verse of this Psalm as a complete prayer and as a whole covers all the needs people have. I have used the New King James here but
check out other translations.
Psalm 91
New King James Version (NKJV)
Safety of Abiding in the Presence of God
1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”
3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler
And from the perilous pestilence.
4 He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
And from the perilous pestilence.
4 He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.
8 Only with your eyes shall you look,
And see the reward of the wicked.
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.
8 Only with your eyes shall you look,
And see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
10 No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
11 For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
12 In their hands, they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra,
The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.
Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
10 No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
11 For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
12 In their hands, they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra,
The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.
14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high because he has known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With a long life, I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation.”
I will set him on high because he has known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With a long life, I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation.”
