Keep On Moving "the next 5 minutes" of the Hour Of Prayer

“FOR”
This is a “because” it says that everything before it we are to do because of what is coming.

This one word is enough to make us stop and realize what Jesus said in the first part of this prayer.
Yesterday in my post I went through what we have prayed so far.
1.  Worship the Lord by His Names
2.  Praying for the Kingdom of God in us in the Church and to the world.
3.  Praying for our needs
4.  Forgiveness from our sin and forgiving others for their wrongs against us.
5.  Keeping away from sin and Repentance and forgiveness from sin admitting we have weakness and asking God to direct our paths
6.  Watching for the wiles of the evil one and apply what Christ did on the cross.

I want to go back over the Lord’s Prayer.

Our Father, which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name;
Thy kingdom come;
Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive them that trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.

The reason we pray all the above things, is because of the last sentence of the prayer. It is because of the freedom and the forgiveness for our needs being met and for guidance that we get that leads our paths and keeps us from harm, which is why we need to spend the rest of our time with drawing close to God.  Get all the business out of the way just so we can become intimate with God.
So these 5 minutes is easy to tell you but can be long in learning.  So, For these 5 minute just wait for God to speak to you.
Psalms 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!

Prayer is a 2 way conversation and we should always be listening to and for God to speak to us throughout, but I find that it is important to actually put a place for Him to talk to me. This is where the more of the Bible you have read and the more scripture you know will make it easier for God to speak to you.  This happens in a different ways.
 John 10:14-16
14 I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. 15 As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. 16 And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd.

Vs: 27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. 30 I and My Father are one.”
  He will bring someone or something into my mind and will give me a sense of what He is saying.

While I am waiting I either just stay silent or I meditate on scripture or read the psalms, proverbs, and I wait.  Even if God doesn’t say anything you will find that this is extremely refreshing a time of solace and quiet will calm your spirit release you from cares and will give you energy.
So there it is 5 minutes waiting for God to talk to you.
Enjoy your Prayer time this week help it be more natural and familiar and less legalistic.
Next week we will talk about
the next word
"Thine"

Tomorrow is the start of the last 30 minutes of Prayer

So we now have the first 30 minutes of prayer and it is all about us and His God's Kingdom on earth , How He wants us to relate to Him and know Him. Then about us, our forgiveness our conquering the enemy our needs.
It's all about us! It's all about our family our Church our friends and relationships,our sin and our salvation our happiness and our freedom.

The first 30 minutes are such a habit in me that It seems to just fly by.

 But I love the last 30 minutes the most because it is like a big Hug and cuddle session from the Father, the shepherd the lamb and sooooo much more. The last 30 minutes are all about GOD.

Everything you do in the hour of prayer prepares you for challenging the enemy in Spiritual warfare both in you and in the Church and in the world.

JUST A MINUTE AND A NOTE FROM ME

A few things just so you know this blog seems to have it's own mind when It comes to the size of print those places that go really small I can't seem to change, sorry. Also Go back to the beginning of the blog June 2013 if you are just starting reading.
This is not time sensitive you would be smart to go to the beginning and then getting to here and keep going.  I don't profess to be an expert, but I am well read, Well trained and really Close to God in Prayer in warfare and just in life.  Anything you take from this web site is not me.
I love and pray for all that read this blog that you will be blessed and encourage and grow closer to God, through what you read and what you put into practice in your life. I ask you Father to give your angels charge over these people and Jesus that you would cover them with your Blood and Holy Spirit fill them and guard the word in them like a hedge and empower them for what you have called them to do.  In the Name of Jesus I pray.  Amen

Battleground of the mind part 8

The Sieve of Justice
Philippians 4:8

God’s answer to this spirit:
New King James Version (NKJV)

The Good News of Salvation

61 “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,
Because the Lord has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the broken hearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
3 To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”
4 And they shall rebuild the old ruins, these old ruins are all the things that a wounded spirit would have created in your life
They shall raise up the former desolation's,
these former desolations are the dreams that you had that have been sabotaged, it’s your finances, your concept of truth and fantasy

And they shall repair the ruined cities,
The desolation's of many generations.
This is the desolation's that people create trying to numb the feeling of being wounded. Drugs, alcohol, gambling, over eating, shopping, all those things that don’t just destroy your life but also the lives of every generation after you until this spirit is broken.

In our sieve it is true you were wounded by something. You may have even been  injured in some kind of spiritual warfare so it is honorable.  Now though we have to go through the Justice sieve.

To we really need to actually deal with wounds to stop them from controlling our thoughts, actions, health. If we have caused wounds in other the Bible tells us to leave our gift at the altar and go and make it right. When the wound is in us we need to help it heal.
With a wounded spirit causes so many other spirits to tag along with it, fear, guilt, self loathing, over eating, anger and a whole multitude of other of wounded spirit’s friends.

The mind is a very powerful force and it remembers every piece of information that has ever crossed its path, better then any computer in the world.  Right from the womb to death from old age all those thing are in our minds.  Sometimes when we are wounded very young it isn’t about unforgiveness it’s about how strong the stronghold is that is concealing it.

 When that happens there will be a point when your mind thinks you can handle it, that you will have to deal with each incidence and tear down those stronghold and build up new ones that will be secure.
This is important from the side of the wounded person, the Pastor or Councillors that help them and more so to the person praying for them.  God wants us to give Him our pain all of our pain.
This was a big one in my life, because of some very vial things in my life. When I was very young I had developed a system of dealing with it. Later over a period of time and with many counseling sessions, many tears God having a great deal of patience with me and a lady that did not know me nor did I know her started to pray Psalms 91 over my life I have been freed from this spirit and now I guard my thoughts from wounds again.

The challenge will come in discerning the wounded spirit. The Holy Spirit will bring up things in your life when you are ready to deal with it so allow Him to help you with it.

You will have the strongest defenses set up to protect the wounded area.  It is like in the physical when we have an injury that we receive, for example when I twist my ankle swelling immediately starts to happen to cause pain so I will stay off the foot.
Our heart does the same thing it guards that area so that it can be hurt again; However, when this happens we can not receive complete healing or complete freedom from that wound and it will fester and become controlling of every aspect of life.  Wounded people fall into despair, hopelessness, depression etc. It is destructive and cause addictions, shuts us off from others, it makes us unstable.

The first thing I pray when I pray for my own wounds or for other  people, is Psalm 91 this is something like I would pray for them or myself. I actually pray part or all of this everyday of my life.  I will no longer allow any wound to remain unhealed.

 I loose the wound from them and bind healing to them. I loose fear from them and Bind Love to them.Doing these two things will allow for Freedom from the wounds and the past.

 Once you have been healed from a wounded spirit it is imperative that you stop your mind from going back to and trying to protect that again.  So you need to again put up your hand and say.....
 I am not listening!
Then I get into the word and read scripture after scripture til my mind is renewed

Ephesians 4:22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. 25 Therefore, putting away lying, "Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor," for we are members of one another. 26 "Be angry, and do not sin": do not let the sun go down on your wrath, 27 nor give place to the devil. 28 Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need. 29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. 32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ forgave you.

John 8

31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
2. You will find freedom from heaviness of the wounded spirit by praise.
 Some of our wounds are very deep and we can not expect for all of them to be healed immediately, as they come up as the Holy Spirit reminds you He will guide you again toward healing.
The following is from a web page I found and although I can’t recommend every thing they teach on I liked these: http://www.greatbiblestudy.com/inner_healing_101.php

Identifying emotional wounds

The first thing we need to do is identify the problem, and realize the need for inner healing. Below is a common list of common symptoms to look for in somebody who has an emotional wound:
Inner rawness: there's often a sense of inner rawness and hurt that doesn't seem to go away.
Irritability: it's easy to become irritable with others, even if they aren't doing anything wrong!
Little or no tolerance: there is a low tolerance issue with others, where you expect and demand from them.
Feelings always rising up: feelings of anger, hate, resentment, etc. seem to "rise up" within you at the slightest offense from others.
Overly sensitive about an event in your past: If there are events in your past which cause you to become very sensitive or angry, or even cause you to lash out, then it is likely revealing a deep emotional wound tied in with that event or memory.
Hard to forgive: it becomes very difficult, if not impossible to love and therefore forgive others. It can also be hard to forgive and love yourself. It can even be hard to forgive and love God, even though He has done nothing wrong against you!
Hard to feel loved: it is hard to clearly see and realize the love of others and God in your life. You may be surrounded by people who love you, but it can be difficult to fully feel and receive that love. There seems to be a wall up that blocks the flow of love into your life.
Lashing out: when there's an inner wound that has festered, it becomes easy to lash out or have sudden outbursts of anger, hate, resentment, etc. You may find it easy to lash out at people who love you, and have done you no harm.
Feelings of anger towards God: when a person has been wounded, it becomes easy to blame God for their troubles and hardships. This is the last thing that you want to do when seeking to be healed, because it virtually puts a wall in your mind that can block the healing power of the Holy Spirit to operate. Although He desires to heal your wound, He will not override your freewill, and if you hold hate in your heart against Him, it can block His efforts to heal your wounds.
Self-hate: many times when a person is hurt from past abuse, they will begin to think that perhaps what happened to them, was deserved because of something they did or the way that they were. This is not true. Abuse is never acceptable, even if a child was being out of order. Parental love disciplines and corrects, but never abuses.
Easily frustrated: because an inner turmoil that an inner wound causes, it is easy to become easily frustrated with everyday chores and responsibilities.
Escapism/Fantasy world: as a result of inner turmoil, it is easy to desire to escape or suppress reality. This can be in the form of overeating, drinking, smoking, porn, spending binges, etc. When a person indulges in escapism, addictions can form, and open the door to spirits of addiction, which makes the addictions virtually impossible to break.
Cutting: a person who is a cutter usually has an alter inside the person who is holding much pain, and needs to release the pain or it honestly feels that it deserves the pain (self-hate/religious bondage).
Retaliation urges: because of built-up hate and anger as a result of unforgiveness, somebody who has a festering inner wound will find it easy to retaliate or snap back at those who offend them or step on their toes.
Irresponsible behavior: inner pain has a way of consuming a person's mind, and eventually this can take on a careless approach to life. It is hard to feel good about yourself if you have an inner wound, and if you don't feel good about yourself, it will begin to show in your lifestyle.
Irrational expectations of others: somebody who has been wounded may set high expectations for those around them. They feel that others ought to hold up to unrealistic standards, and are very intolerable to any mistakes made. They find it hard to forbear (put up with) one another as the Bible commands of us (see Colossians 3:13).
Perfectionism: a person who has an emotional wound may also be performance driven. Perhaps they felt like no matter what they did, they could never please a parent or authority figure, and later on in life, that rejection wound causes the person to be a performer to the point where they are never satisfied and burned out by their efforts.
Feelings of hopelessness: I believe this is also a common result of unresolved inner wounds. Since the love of God is blocked in your life, it becomes hard to see why He would love or care for you, and therefore you become an easy target for feelings of hopelessness.
Over Driven: when you suffer from an emotional wound, it can create a sense of void in your life's meaning, thus driving you to find meaning and purpose and happiness. This could be in the form of college degrees, careers, financial success, etc. Instead of appreciating the person who God has made (YOU!), you find yourself chasing what you think will bring true happiness and purpose to your life.
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder or OCD: it is my belief that Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) often involves emotional wounds that were never fully healed. This is especially true with people who have bondages to self-hate, self-resentment, self-unforgiveness, etc.
Hostility towards God, self, and others: because of bound up emotions, a person can tend to feel hostile towards God, other people in their life, or even themselves. This is usually rooted in a form of bitterness against God for not preventing something from happening to you, bitterness against somebody who has wronged or harmed you emotionally, or bitterness against yourself for failures that you've fallen into yourself

PRAISE THE WEEKEND WAY

 Praise the weekend way

I today instead of giving you ways I worship and praise but rather show you a video about one little reason to do so.
Louie Giglio
Mash-up of Stars and Whales
Singing God's Praise
There are so many reasons to worship God and just as many things to praise him for.  Here is Psalms 148 it will inspire you a little I hope.

Psalm 148 (NKJV)

Praise to the Lord from Creation

148 Praise the Lord!

Praise the Lord from the heavens;
Praise Him in the heights!
2 Praise Him, all His angels;
Praise Him, all His hosts!
3 Praise Him, sun and moon;
Praise Him, all you stars of light!
                                      Soul Nebula

4 Praise Him, you heavens of heavens,
And you waters above the heavens!

5 Let them praise the name of the Lord,
For He commanded and they were created.
6 He also established them forever and ever;
He made a decree which shall not pass away.

7 Praise the Lord from the earth,
You great sea creatures and all the depths;

8 Fire and hail, snow and clouds;
Stormy wind, fulfilling His word;

9 Mountains and all hills;
Fruitful trees and all cedars;

10 Beasts and all cattle;
Creeping things and flying fowl;

11 Kings of the earth and all peoples;
Princes and all judges of the earth;
12 Both young men and maidens;
Old men and children.

13 Let them praise the name of the Lord,
For His name alone is exalted;
His glory is above the earth and heaven.
14 And He has exalted the horn of His people,
The praise of all His saints—
Of the children of Israel,
A people near to Him.

Praise the Lord!

Please if you enjoy this blog and think it may be a blessing to others pass it on, my thoughts are yours to use I don't claim any credit for what God has done in my life. If I have given credit for others please mention them when you pass them on.

Thanks

Thursday, 1 August 2013

we are now at 30 minutes of prayer 5 minutes at a time

Deliver us from the evil one happened on the cross Jesus' resurrection sealed the deal took away all of Satan's authority and His return will be the end of the evil one

Who is the evil one?

It would be very easy to fight the evil one if we recognized him.  If he looked like he does in cartoons or fantasy films.
However he seldom ever looks evil at all. So just who is the evil one? Lets start and see who he was before he fell.
 Although The chapter is talking about the king of Tyre it is actually talking about Lucifer.  Ezekiel 28 tells us about Lucifer We know this because the King of Tyre was not in heaven or in the garden of Eden.
He was the perfection of wisdom and beauty
 Ezekiel 28 12 "Son of man, weep for the king of Tyre. Give him this message from the Sovereign LORD: You were the perfection of wisdom and beauty.

 This is not a real picture of Lucifer as I have no idea what he looks like.
 He wasn't the ugly horned pitchfork tail demon, we see portrayed today.
  13 You were in Eden, the garden of God. Your clothing was adorned with every precious stone -- red carnelian, chrysolite, white moonstone, beryl, onyx, jasper, sapphire, turquoise, and emerald -- all beautifully crafted for you and set in the finest gold. They were given to you on the day you were created.
 He was a mighty angel.  He had access to the Holy mountain of God.
  14 I ordained and anointed you as the mighty angelic guardian. You had access to the holy mountain of God and walked among the stones of fire.
 He was blameless
  15 "You were blameless in all you did from the day you were created until the day evil was found in you.
 His great wealth was what cast him out of heaven
16 Your great wealth filled you with violence, and you sinned. So I banished you from the mountain of God. I expelled you, O mighty guardian, from your place among the stones of fire.
 He was full of Pride.
  17 Your heart was filled with pride because of all your beauty. You corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor. So I threw you to the earth and exposed you to the curious gaze of kings.
 After He was banished from heaven Lucifer came to rule over Kings with great wealth.  It still controls his desires today.
18 You defiled your sanctuaries with your many sins and your dishonest trade. So I brought fire from within you, and it consumed you. I let it burn you to ashes on the ground in the sight of all who were watching. 19 All who knew you are appalled at your fate. You have come to a terrible end, and you are no more." 20 Then another message came to me from the LORD:
When Jesus went to hell and took back the keys from Lucifer and death was defeated Satan was striped of the morning star anointing also.

Isaiah 14 tells us a few things about him. While we think of Lucifer as satan, it may be more correct to say the fallen angels are satan.  Lucifer simply the one that lead them and caused them to be cast down from heaven Lucifer doesn't consider himself as a prince like the other fallen angels he thinks he is there king. “How you are fallen from heaven,

Isaiah 14:12-17    O shining star, son of the morning!
You have been thrown down to the earth,
    you who destroyed the nations of the world.
13 For you said to yourself,
    ‘I will ascend to heaven and set my throne above God’s stars.
I will preside on the mountain of the gods
    far away in the north.
14 I will climb to the highest heavens
    and be like the Most High.’
15 Instead, you will be brought down to the place of the dead,
    down to its lowest depths.
16 Everyone there will stare at you and ask,
‘Can this be the one who shook the earth
    and made the kingdoms of the world tremble?
17 Is this the one who destroyed the world
    and made it into a wasteland?
Is this the king who demolished the world’s greatest cities
    and had no mercy on his prisoners?’

This chapter is actually talking to the King of Babylon and seems to be saying that he is Lucifer. If we go to the book of Revelations we see that Babylon the Great falls in one hour. The entire chapter 18 tells us about His fall you should read it. http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation%2018&version=NKJV

Revelation 18:10

New King James Version (NKJV)
10 standing at a distance for fear of her torment, saying, ‘Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come.’
When we come to the names of satan however there are many.
Satan means adversary

Names of Satan:

Tempter (Matthew 4:5; 1 Thessalonians 3:5);

Beelzebub (Matthew 12:24);

Enemy (Matthew 13:39);

Evil One (Matthew 13:19, 38; 1 John 2:13,14; 3:12, and particularly 1 John 5:18);

Belial (Means worthless or without value.) (2 Corinthians 6:15);

Adversary , (1 Peter 5:8);

Deceiver (literally "the one who deceives") (Revelation 12:9);

Dragon (Great) (Revelation 12:3);

Father of Lies (John 8:44);

Murderer (John 8:44);

Master of of Sinners (1John 3:8)

So enough about the evil one
 God deliver us from Him.
Now that we know who he is we are better equipped to resist and defeat him and his plans. The Bible says the LOVE of money is the root of all evil maybe it might be more accurate to say the "root of the evil one!" It is however true that it is one thing that over and over causes us to sin and to do things that are not God's desires or plan for us. So first thing might be to see how our money and us relate.  Do we hoard it are we good stewards of it.  There are 3 tools that satan uses to lure us all of which are part of his nature
1.  Lust of the eye wanting everything we see wanting it all.
2. Lust of the flesh wanting all that makes us feel the way we want
3. The pride of life.
So when you pray deliver me from the evil one it might be greed, it might be hate it might just be watching a movie that really does not fit the honor of a Child of the King.  The other part of this is being responsible that when we head toward him or he sneaks up to you like a beautiful woman walking by a married man. Then we must resist him. The Bible says if we do he will flee from us.

 1 Peter 5:5-11 Tells us how to do this.

1 Peter 5

New King James Version (NKJV)

Submit to God, Resist the Devil

5 Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for
“God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble.”
6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because[c] your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. 10 But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. 11 To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

So even this prayer comes with responsibility.
Confess your sin, find someone else to confess your weakness to, someone who will help you break the sin off your life.
