Operation GIVE THANKS

 TODAY MY MISSION IS TO SEE
HOW MANY THINGS FOR WHICH
AND
HOW MANY WAYS CAN
I GIVE THANKS

PLEASE TRY IT WITH ME THEN PASS IT ON
1 Thessalonians 5:18
 Rejoice always, pray without ceasing,  in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
One of the first things I learned was that being thankful never leaves you feeling bad.

I think of the story from Luke 17:11-19 when God healed the 10 lepershttp://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke%2017:11-19&version=NKJV
They were all healed but only 1 came back and not only was he healed but he was made whole.  There is a completed healing when you give thanks that is more then just healing it's restorative.
 So make it your Joyful mission to spend the day being thankful.
Here's some scriptures on thanksgiving.

Leviticus 22:29 And when you offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving to the Lord, offer it of your own free will

1 Chronicles 16:4
And he appointed some of the Levites to minister before the ark of the Lord, to commemorate, to thank, and to praise the Lord God of Israel:
1 Chronicles 16:34
Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.

2 Chronicles 31:2

And Hezekiah appointed the divisions of the priests and the Levites according to their divisions, each man according to his service, the priests and Levites for burnt offerings and peace offerings, to serve, to give thanks, and to praise in the gates of the camp of the Lord.
 Ezra 3:11
And they sang responsively, praising and giving thanks to the Lord: “For He is good, For His mercy endures forever toward Israel.” Then all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the Lord, because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid.
 Nehemiah 12:27[ Nehemiah Dedicates the Wall ] Now at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought out the Levites in all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem to celebrate the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgivings and singing, with cymbals and stringed instruments and harps.

 Nehemiah 12:40
So the two thanksgiving choirs stood in the house of God, likewise I and the half of the rulers with me;

Psalm 95

New King James Version (NKJV)

A Call to Worship and Obedience

95 Oh come, let us sing to the Lord!
Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation.
Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving;
Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.
For the Lord is the great God,
And the great King above all gods.

Psalm 100 (NKJV)

A Psalm of Thanksgiving.

1 Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands!
Serve the Lord with gladness;
Come before His presence with singing.
Know that the Lord, He is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;[a]
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
For the Lord is good;
His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations.
 Psalm 106:1
[ Joy in Forgiveness of Israel’s Sins ] Praise the Lord! Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.

Psalm 147

New King James Version (NKJV)

Praise to God for His Word and Providence

147 Praise the Lord!
For it is good to sing praises to our God;
For it is pleasant, and praise is beautiful.

The Lord builds up Jerusalem;
He gathers together the outcasts of Israel.
He heals the brokenhearted
And binds up their wounds.
He counts the number of the stars;
He calls them all by name.
Great is our Lord, and mighty in power;
His understanding is infinite.
The Lord lifts up the humble;
He casts the wicked down to the ground.
Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving;
Sing praises on the harp to our God,
Who covers the heavens with clouds,
Who prepares rain for the earth,
Who makes grass to grow on the mountains.
