3rd 5 minutes in the hour of Prayer

http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%207&version=AMP;NKJV

So How have you done on the first 10 minutes of the hour of prayer if you haven't kept it up for the week don't feel guilty just start again and get to 15minutes when you get it down.
God doesn't judge our manner of Prayer because He knows your Heart so if your heart is in prayer then the rest is just to help you pray.  TALK TO GOD that's the point.
The third part of the Lord's prayer says Give us this day our daily bread. This is your time to make request to God.  Requests for your country, your state or province or territory, your city and your family and you.
usually this is what we spend the most time in our life both complaining about and begging for, and little time talking to God about. The reason I think might be because we know we don't want to give this area to God. We believe that if we do He will take all we have we will live in poverty and be miserable. The truth is much different GOD WANTS YOU TO BE BLESSED!
Matthew 6 where the Lord's prayer is found actually talks a great deal about asking and receiving from God.  After the Lord's prayer here is what it say about it.

Lay Up Treasures in Heaven Verse 19:21

19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
This tells us that we should not covet money and should not hoard money.  God does want you to be a good steward of money but he doesn't want you to hide it or bury it He gives what we need when we need it so really we either believe that or we don't. Then Matthew goes on to talk about our eye what we see is often what we covet and it tells us to keep the eye pure in what it sees and what it wants.

The Lamp of the Body Verses :22-23

22 “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

Darkness is an interesting thing to bring up in the context of the entire chapter. What is darkness? In the Bible it is the separation from God. So when talking about money it means that we are not including Jesus in this area of our lives He is not Lord over this.

http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=matthew+25&version=AMP;NKJV

In Matthew 25:14-30 follow the link to read it, a master calls 3 servants and gives the first servant 5 talents the second two talents and the third 1 talent the one with the most invests it and doubles it's value the second does the same and also doubles it but the third one said     Then he who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. 25 And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.’

24 He who had received one talent also came forward, saying, Master, I knew you to be a harsh and hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you had not winnowed [the grain].

25 So I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground. Here you have what is your own.

26 But his master answered him, You wicked and lazy and idle servant! Did you indeed know that I reap where I have not sowed and gather [grain] where I have not winnowed?

27 Then you should have invested my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received what was my own with interest.

28 So take the talent away from him and give it to the one who has the ten talents.

29 For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will be furnished richly so that he will have an abundance; but from the one who does not have, even what he does have will be taken away.

30 And throw the good-for-nothing servant into the outer darkness; there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.

This is severe almost seems unfair in it severity but fear is the opposite of Love.  It also shows a lack of faith.  God wants us full of faith and so full of love that it would be impossible for us to be so selfish that we would be able to hide money so that we wouldn't use it to contribute to others.  The servant with only one talent was totally thinking about what would happen, to him if he lost it not what the master or anyone else could benefit from it. Jesus went on to tell us that it is worshiping 2 gods and it can't be done.                .

Matthew 6:

You Cannot Serve God and Riches

24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

Do Not Worry

25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

In the King James it says take no thought for your life what you will eat or drink or what you will be clothed with.  TAKE NO THOUGHT.  I f we are honest we take much time doing just that thinking about our needs. The manner of Prayer is so important that Jesus continues talking about it in Matthew 7.  The chapter starts by telling us not to judge and if you put it in context of the Chapter before and after it is talking about money.  We tend to judge people on what they have or don't have. Finally to the point how to get what you need from God.

Matthew 7 AMP

Do Not Judge

“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

“Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.

***Finally to the point how to get what you need from God.

1. ASK Ask God ask others and keeping asking
2. SEEK get up and look for what you need
3. KNOCK on every door until you get what you need

So this is the five minutes where you can both ask God for wisdom on how to handle money and also ask for what you need and you need to ask you need to keep asking until you receive. Also consider here what others need what your Church needs etc.

Keep Asking, Seeking, Knocking

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! 12 Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

The Narrow Way

13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

God want to bless His Children He also want to teach them how to be blessed. Follow this very simple plan and you will see a change.  God loves His children and gives good gifts to them.  It might be good to look up money in the concordance here are some links

Don't let this in anyway condemn you rather let it motivate you! God wants to bless you.
