Strategic Spiritual Warfare

Spiritual Warfare

WARFARE AND PRAYER
We often view spiritual warfare like fighting dragons and in a way that is what it is like.
There are 3 battlegrounds that we fight on To learn More Read Read "The three Battlegrounds" by Francis Frangipane

The first battleground is our mind.  I often hear people say bring on the demons I can fight a 15 foot demon bring it on, just to be hurt and offended walk away from God saying God doesn't care about me. This shows a lack of understanding of the enemy.  Lucifer was the most beautiful and gifted angel who sat over the throne of God. Yet he never knew or understood who God was, The problem is that the thoughts in our mind doesn't look like a dragon. It isn't ugly nor does it even seem harmful, yet it does steal kill and destroy us. It attacks when someone offends you, it attacks when something in your life looks at you wrong, and when you entertain things you know are harmful for your body. They come in the form of thoughts. Each of us is like a house built of thoughts.

Satan has 3 purposes
1. to Steal
2. To kill
3. to destroy
He also has 3 things with which he tries to steal the victories that Jesus paid for on the Cross
1. The Lust of the eyes
2. The Lust of the Flesh
3. The pride of life.

Last week we were talking about the armor of God this is why we need to put on that armor.    Our mind and thoughts are not a picture of the truth but rather what we believe is true.
ie: just because I think you are angry with me doesn't mean you are. However my actions my mood my  thoughts can increase into anger, fear of rejection, wounded etc.....
Salvation is the helmet. We need to confess our sins and then declare our freedom from them to our minds.  Since the greatest influence that satan has is our minds. Repentance is a gift, we need to daily repent of our shortcomings of places where we have not hit the mark that God has placed before us.

Isaiah 26:3
You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.
