Battle of AI Victorious
The real message at this point is they screwed up they repented and God continued with the plan of conquering the enemy. It is the same plan for you, Jesus is not surprised when you screw up He just waits for you to repent and then continues with His plans for you.
After the
children of Israel
repented and reinforced the Covenant God had made with Moses God gave them a
strategy a very precise strategy.
Joshua 8
1.
Don’t
be afraid. After they had already been sent running by the soldiers of AI they
would all likely be afraid yet God told them not to be. God doesn’t want them to be led by their
feelings because feelings do not represent the truth only what you believe is
the truth. God instead insisted they be led by faith.
2.
Don’t
be dismayed (Strong’s # 02865 Chathath) to be shattered, broken, abolished God wanted His children to be obedient to Him
nothing else forget your defeat forget your broken-heartedness from the loss of
your family, forget your defeat get over it and go on in faith. Psychologists today will tell you that you
have the right to be in pain and it is understandable that your are sad and
depressed because of what happened; God isn’t in total disagreement to this
but it does show us here when we were caught in sin and facing the consequences
to just suck it up and move in faith anyways.
God knows that healing come and fear is removed, when we get back up and
go again.
3.
Take
all the people of War with you when you go to war with AI.
4.
Arise
This is one of the most frequent things you will find in Strategies and in
angelic visitation GET UP.
5. "See"
I have given into your hand
the king of AI, and his people, and his city, and his land you will do to AI
and her king as you did unto Jericho
and her king
6.
This
time however the instructions He give for the spoils from AI are different, the
spoils, the cattle you will take for a reward for yourself.
7.
Now
he lies out the strategy itself.

Lay an
ambush behind the city. Then Joshua
Arose and all the people of war went 30,000 mighty men of Valor (Strength,
Ability, Efficiency, and force in the army). These 30,000 men God told Joshua were
to “Hide in ambush very close behind the town and be ready for action when the
Men of AI come out to fight as they did before the rest of us will run away
until we have drawn them all away from the town. They will say “The Israelites
are running away from us just like last time.
Then when they get all past you, you will jump up from your ambush and
take possession of the town do what I have ordered you and then set it on
fire. The Lord has spoken you have your
orders!
8.
Joshua
went back to the rest of the people in the camp that night. The next morning
Joshua got up roused his men and went towards AI. Once they were all hidden
laying in ambush Joshua spent that night with them.
9.
Joshua
rose early and went back to their camp he numbered the People. All the people
went up even all the men people of war and they were accompanied by the Elders
of Israel (the older men having authority but not usually taken to war). Went
up and got near to the city of AI
they found a valley between them and AI.
They pitched their camp on the
North
side of AI, Joshua took 5000
men and set them to lie between
Bethel and AI on the west side of
AI.
10.
Joshua
went that night into the middle of the valley.
Basically
God had His army ready to surround the men of war from AI. When The King of AI saw Joshua out in the
middle of the valley the king took all of his people and went out against Israel to
battle, he and all his people. They went towards the valley he didn’t notice
any of the men waiting in ambush. Just before they got to the valley Joshua all
of Israel
ran towards the wilderness. All the
people of AI pursued them and they were drawn away for AI. There was not a man
left in AI or Bethel,
they all went out chasing Joshua leaving the city open. Then the LORD said to Joshua Stretch out the
spear that is in your hand toward AI and I will give it into your hand. Joshua lifted the spear and the ambush arose
quickly out of where they were hiding. Them men ran into the city and took it,
as God had commanded and then they burnt it. When the Men of AI looked behind
them they saw, the smoke of the city ascending up to heaven and they had no
power no where to flee, and the people that fled to the Wilderness turned back
because of the Men that Joshua had laid in ambush there, they went back to
fight Israel.
Seeing
that the Strategy had worked Israel
killed all the men of AI, they didn’t let any of them remain or escape, except
the King of AI. Israel
brought the King before Joshua. When
Israel was all finished the slaying all of the inhabitants of AI there were
Just as God had told them they would Israel went and smote AI with the edge of
the Sword so it was that all that day both men, women were 12,000. They took the spoils and the cattle for
themselves as God had commanded them.
Then Joshua took all the ashes from the city. He hanged the King of AI
from a tree in the evening they took the body down and piled stones on top of
all of it. Then Joshua built an altar to
the LORD God of Israel in Mount Ebal Just as Moses had command them to do an
altar of stone when no man had ever hit with any iron there they offered Burnt offerings to the
LORD and sacrificed peace offerings
Once again Joshua renews and reminds all the people of the Law of Moses. This law only was totally fulfilled when Jesus Died on the cross taking all of our sin and rose from the dead victorious.
Joshua 8:
32 And he wrote there upon the stones a copy of the law of Moses, which he wrote in thepresence of the children of Israel.33And
all Israel, and their elders, and officers , and their judges , stood on this side the arkand on that side
before the priests the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of theLORD, as well the stranger, as he that was born among them; half of them over against mount Gerizim, and half of them over against mount Ebal; as Moses the servant of the LORD hadcommanded before, that they should bless the people of Israel.34And afterward he read all the words of the law, the blessings and cursings, according to all that is written in the book of the law.
