A SPIRITUAL WARRIOR'S STARTING POINT

 Please if you already know all this it is always good to review it.  Even as I am writing this God has shown me some things to tighten up in my life.  I will eventually get into those principalities, powers and spirits of wickedness but let's help everyone and ourselves to build a foundation first.

Here are the first few things that need to be a part of your life before you get into warfare and they are important.  It is dangerous and can be embarrassing to and can actually affect our entire life when we go to war without the armor of God. In Acts the disciples were casting out demons and so the son of one man decided if the Disciples could do it then so could they. Here is that story.

Acts 19:14-18 --:14 and there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so. 15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? 16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. 17 And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified. 18 And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds.

 Sometimes we view ourself like the picture at the top when we are really a little bit more like--

1.   The Father Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit; this is the only way you will be able to know the voice of the Lord. My people know my voice. It is the only way to make sense of the things you see, and hear. If you haven’t a personal time with God you will start to lose your ability to discern the voice of the Father and the voice of the enemy. You need a personal time with Jesus everyday or you will not have enough stamina for battle. You need to understand the way God has armed your for battle from Ephesians 6:11-18 see bottom of this blog page

2.  You must go regularly to a church and be under the authority of that pastor/minister. This is important because you need to be grounded you need solid and regular teaching and mentors that can keep you standing on the ROCK and not on strange doctrines.

3.   Remember that we do not fight against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 When we are praying for an individual we are actually praying against the forces that are attacking them thus we do warfare. If we forget who we fight with we are tempted to think badly of an individual.  We will tend to point a finger of blame and even prayer guilt-ridden prayers for others and in a way pray controlling prayers.

4.   Prayer must be for the advancement of the Kingdom of God in the individual, the church or the world.  Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Life and so should the purpose of our prayer be, the enemy comes to steal kill and destroy, and our war should only be for our enemies, not people.
Our own agendas should be taken up with God in our personal devotional time, sometimes though when we are praying for others you may see that you are going through something others are going through this pattern, It is important to note to others because it may show something bigger than just us. You can always ask for prayer if you need it but if your reason for joining has its own agenda then it will be more a distraction to all then help. Deciding what to post in those things will be at the discretion of the developer of that particular wheel.  This one being mine and yours is yours.

Ephesians 6:. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
 SO PUT ON YOUR ARMOR!!
